MONDAY – Warm up:Step I –  Continents Quiz – AND the Oceans Quiz. Get 100% TWICE before going on to step two of warm up. Step II – Review and rewrite notes as needed.

Warm up:

Step I –  Continents Quiz – AND the Oceans Quiz. Get 100% TWICE before going on to step two of warm up. THERE WILL BE A TEST ON FRIDAY! The test will include all continents and oceans AND the 3 largest countries in North America. i.e. Canada, the USA, and Mexico.

Step II – Review and rewrite notes as needed.

Activity: Today we learned a new note taking skill called annotation. Students were provided with a copy of an excerpt from the article Foraging: Life as a Hunter Gatherer, by Cynthia Stokes Brown and published at Khan Academy. You can find the full article here.

We will do the first three paragraphs together and then students will work in groups to complete the assignment (nine paragraphs total). We will take two days in class to work on this. If you do not finish to #6 it is homework. Numbers 7-9 can be done for extra credit, but it must be handed in on Thursday.
