World’s Coolest Currencies – Make sure to take note of the fact that each currency has a theme throughout each denomination. Sizes and shapes vary from country to country. They have even begun to change the materials currencies are made from.

Flags and Their Meanings – While there is no need to watch the entire video, what you do need to understand is that each and every element of a flag has a REASON for being there.

Activity – Part one: FINISH the Comparing Economic Systems worksheet as a group. Compare your answers, discuss whether or not you believe YOU have the correct answer. WHAT IS THE EVIDENCE FROM THE TEXT??????Then and HAND IT IN.

Part two: Begin working on the assignment in Google Classroom – Our (My) Country’s Government / Economy

Each member of the group must complete this assignment and hand it in.

MONDAY – Warm up – Western Asia aka The Middle East. Your goal is 100% twice!

Activity – wrap up notes on types of governments. Compare your notes to the answer sheet linked below. If you have something similar in your notes – highlight it and make it bold. Add any additional information you don’t have yet. These notes will serve as a study guide for a quiz later.

The notes are no longer posted here. I you need to finish your notes you will need to come in before school or during lunch.

AFTER you are finished with your notes look at this Interesting map of where in the world each type of government is used. It is a great illustration of just how diverse governments around the world really are.
